The Northridge Marching band is, in my opinion, the best High-School Marching Band this side of the Mighty Mississippi. I've been involved in this marching band for three years. It has been the greatest experience of my life. I love the Marching band and wish it would never end. Anyways, enough of this mushy, lovey, dovey, kissy stuff. Let's get to the good stuff.

The American West

 The show for 1998 consisted of songs about the American West. We had selections from Dances with Wolves, How the West was Won, Trukey in the Straw, Copland's Portrait (The Beef Song), Cowboy(from the movie), and The Magnificient Seven. It was awesome! In one move we had the whole band(about 130) strung out across the field in two lines. We then were split into 5 or 6 people and each did a pinwheel. It was the best!! Thanks Ms. Nixon for that move!!! The following are the scores and captions we recieved during our '98 session:

Ok, I am a avid member of the trumpet section. They are the best section. I know, I know, I'm bias. You know why I can get away with saying that? This is an Unofficial webpage! I don't have to be indifferent! So if you don't agree with me... Well, tough luck. I will never change my statement of fact! Don't get me wrong, we need the other sections, but if you want to hear the melody, then give it to the trumpets baby!!
