MY BIO

dam is my name. As you can see, from the picture to the right, that I am at the pinicle of nerdom. I have worked long and hard to complete my scrawny figure. Brown hair, blue eyes, glasses and mosty pasty white skin are my key features. At the moment I am 17. I am a senior at Northridge Highschool right smack dab in the middle of the bustling metropolis of Middlebury Indiana. At the beginning of middle school, I tried to do that pop-culture thing, but one day I figured out that pop-culture sucks and is completely and utterly stupid. By highschool, I had gained enough experience and knowledge to become a citizen of the underground world of Nerds. I quickly rose in rank through the years. Now I am one of the Gatekeepers. Band helped out a lot with the training part of my nerdom. I met many members of the society and was given a glimpse of the fantastic. In band I play the trumpet. I played the oboe for a span of one year back in sixth grade only to realize that the trumpet was the best instrument to play. I'm not the greatest, but I plan to minor in the trumpet in college.

I listen to almost anything now except country and rap. I just started getting in to heavy metal. I used to hate it and thought it was worthless, but I was shone the light. Metalica rocks my world. I listen to alternative, classic rock, and classical jazz also. I am a big fan of sci-fi and fantasy. I must say that Robert Jordan's The Wheel of Time series is one of the best along with the Death Gate Cycle and Dragonlance series. It's almost impossible to be a nerd and not be close to obsessed with Star Wars. I am no exception. Sci-Fi movies are very cool. There have only been a few movies that stack up with the greatness of Star Wars. These include: The Matrix, Stargate, Sphere, and Event Horizon.

Another thing that gets me going is sailing. I never been sailing before, but I am a big fan of sailboats. I collect models of sailboats. I plan, later in life, to own a sailboat. I don't know what it is about sailing that makes it so attractive to me. Maybe it's the concept of using the wind as the source to power the boat. Maybe it's traveling over open water. It's just seems very awesome to me.

Now comes the most important thing in my life. Well, I don't know if it's the most important, but it takes up most of my time. It's my computer. I practically live on it. It's my life blood! I have a Pentium 100, with 32 megs of RAM. The motherboard is a Triton with 66 bus. I have a AWE 32 sound board, Diamond Stealth 2 220 with D3D exceleration, 33.6 modem, a 24x CD-ROM, a 5.25 drive, a 3.5 drive, and a 1.2 Gig hard drive. It's not the best, but I'm working on the funds to upgrade. I do some useful stuff on my machine, but mostly i do games. I hack code sometimes, but I'm too tempted with the games. That's okay. I'll get serious when I'm in college, then again, maybe not. Time will tell.

I have many friends. This is a shock, I know, but there are a lot of nutso nerds out there like me. I have two friends that are almost brothers. We call ourselves the LoneGunmen or the Rat Pack. They are known by many names, but are most commonly known as Nate and Jason. We have had many adventures together and have done some pretty funky stuff such as marching in a parking garage at midnight in downtown Anderson, Indiana. Storm is the choice drink. Nate is displaying the sweet mother of a drink to the left. Nate is the game junky. He's worse than I am. Jason is the most productive when it comes to the computer end. He doesn't do much gaming. He has done some awesome stuff, but you look at it and then say: "Damn, you really don't have a life, do you?" Then he nods vigerously and says: "Damn straight!" Then we think to ourselves: "Wait, we don't have one either." Then the expanded group of friends is called the Unit. This includes: Addie, Leila, Carl, Ben, Bob, and Hooter. All of us are in band, so that helps. We see each other a bunch. That's a good thing, you see.... we're friends.

Well, that concludes my bio. If you made it this far without getting scared and leaving, then you got some issues. Maybe you should get help or join our society. We walk a thin line between sanity and insanity.
